Numerous new tools and platforms for evidence synthesis have appeared in the last couple of years. Many make extravagant claims about how their AI software can reduce the time it takes to do a systematic review – sometimes claiming they can be done in a matter of hours. Such claims appear in-credible (and are!), but how can we separate the credible from the in-credible claims, and how can we take advantage of AI without it undermining the integrity of our review? This webinar aims to answer some of these concerns by drawing on the newly revised RAISE papers. These provide assistance in terms of plotting the strengths and weaknesses of tools according to their underlying technology. They also provide guidance about which questions to ask when considering adopting a tool for use. As well as a presentation, the webinar will provide plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion.
