The ESI core team is centrally administered from the Centre for Health Research Methodology at the University of Galway and includes Director Professor Declan Devane, Programme Manager Dr Nikita Burke, Business Manager Sheena Connolly, and Training Support Officer Dr Tom Conway. The core team is responsible for establishing, co-ordinating, managing and delivering activities for ESI on a day-to-day basis, as well as developing new strategies for its future operation. The ESI team also includes Senior Methodologist Dr KM Saif Ur Rahman. The ESI Lead for Northern Ireland is Prof. Bronagh Blackwood.
