Evidence Synthesis Ireland led an updated systematic review and meta-analysis examining the efficacy, effectiveness and safety of maternal RSV vaccination for infant protection. The review found that maternal RSV prefusion F (RSVpreF) vaccination significantly reduces RSV-related lower respiratory tract infections, severe disease and hospitalisations in infants, with no new safety signals identified.
