Dr Elayne Ahern is an Associate Professor in Psychology at the University of Limerick, with research interests in cognition, depression, and functional recovery, alongside methodological expertise in systematic review and meta-analysis. She completed an interfaculty PhD in Psychology with Health Economics at the University of Limerick and has a Master’s in Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship, completed as part of her continuing professional development.
As an Evidence Synthesis Ireland Fellow (award: 2022-2024), Elayne has collaborated with Campbell UK and Ireland across several Cochrane reviews. She has held grants for evidence synthesis research, including leading a Study Within A Review (SWAR; 2024) award, and actively engages in evidence synthesis as a researcher, supervisor, and trainer in systematic review and meta-analytic methods.
Elayne contributes to Evidence Synthesis Ireland’s training programme, co-delivering the ‘Introduction to Systematic Reviews’ workshop series.
