Congratulations to ESI Summer Student, Ireland Scott, who, together with the ESI team, has published an article in the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology. The publication reports a Study Within A Review (SWAR) protocol that will examine how rapid reviews are currently justified, conducted, and reported. By analysing a representative sample of recent health-related rapid reviews, the study will map the methodological streamlining strategies used, assess the uptake of reporting guidance, and benchmark transparency across the field. The findings will help inform future standards, guidance, and training for rapid review methodology, supporting improvements in the quality and consistency of evidence synthesis.
