Yemisi Takwoingi is Professor of Test Evaluation and Evidence Synthesis and Head of the Department of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Birmingham. She is a biostatistician/methodologist on diagnostic research spanning early phase evaluation, clinical studies, and evidence synthesis to inform national and international guideline development and policy.
Yemisi leads capacity development for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) West Midlands Evidence Synthesis Group (ESG) and the Warwick-Birmingham Screening ESG. She co-convenes the Cochrane Screening and Diagnostic Tests Methods Group, serves on the Cochrane Editorial Board, and is an editor of the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Diagnostic Test Accuracy.
