Barbara Nussbaumer-Streit is Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medicine and Professor of Methods Research in Evidence Synthesis at the Department of Evidence-Based Medicine and Evaluation at the University for Continuing Education Krems, Austria. She is also Co-Director of Cochrane Austria and JBI Austria.
Her work focuses on conducting evidence syntheses and methodological research in the field of evidence synthesis, with a particular emphasis on rapid reviews. In addition, she is actively involved in teaching and provides training and methodological support for guideline development.
Barbara Nussbaumer-Streit has completed her habilitation in Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Medicine, and holds a doctoral degree in Applied Medical Science (Public Health) from the Medical University of Vienna, a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Health and Nursing Science, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
She is a member of the Advisory Boards of Cochrane Sweden and Cochrane Germany and serves as Co-Convenor of the Cochrane Rapid Reviews Methods Group.
