Olayinka Aremu

Olayinka Aremu, is a Registered Nurse, Midwife, Public Health Nurse, and Assistant Professor in Nursing at University College Dublin (UCD). With over 13 years of experience in nursing education, clinical practice, and healthcare leadership, she is dedicated to advancing integrated care, health equity, inclusive care, and evidence-based practice.

She is currently a Doctoral Researcher at Dublin City University School of Nursing, Psychotherapy and Community Health where her research focuses on developing a nurse-led Co-design Care Transition Tool to enhance discharge communications among nurses in the care transition of older adults. Her work addresses the complexities of healthcare delivery and policy implementation, aiming to bridge research, policy, and practice to improve healthcare transitions for vulnerable populations.

Olayinka has conducted impactful research on maternal health and healthcare access among marginalized populations, including her study on the burden and coping mechanisms of pregnant teenagers in Nigeria, published in the West African Journal of Nursing. She is also a Research Consultant for the Health and Wellbeing Subcommittee, coordinating a study on healthcare access and quality for people of African descent in Ireland.
