Dr Meenakshi Sharma is a Research Fellow at Queen’s University, Belfast since 2021, holds a PhD in Public Health from India. As a public health professional, she specializes in health promotion, cancer epidemiology, and health economics. Her research interests encompass non-communicable diseases, focusing on patient-centered care, social prescription, de-medicalisation, non-pharmacological interventions, lifestyle modifications, low-cost sustainable interventions and conducting economic evaluations. With over 40 publications to her name, she possesses skills in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. She is dedicated to generating high-quality evidence to support future projects and grant applications, viewing the ESI fellowship as a crucial foundation for her career trajectory. Dr Sharma’s expertise in public health, combined with her diverse research interests and analytical skills, positions her as a valuable contributor to the field, particularly in addressing non-communicable diseases through innovative, patient-centered approaches.
