Dr Finn Krewer is the Grewally lecturer in Applied Clinical Data Analytics in the College of Medicine and Health at the University of Galway. He completed his undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering and PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering at the University of Galway in 2017. His thesis focused on the topic of bio-inspired reconfigurable computing, combining biological neuron models with hardware accelerators. He has published several research papers and has extensive industry experience in software development and data analytics, and returned to the University of Galway in 2023. Dr Krewer teaches several clinical data analysis courses on the MSc and PG Diploma in Applied Clinical Data Analytics and is the co-director of the MSc in Clinical Research, focusing on training healthcare professionals in the execution and analysis of clinical studies. His research focuses on the application of clinical data analytics in observational studies and the application of Generative AI models in the conduct of systematic reviews and structured data extraction for the analysis of clinical data.
