The ESI Team
The ESI core team is centrally administered from the Centre for Health Evaluation, Methodology Research and Evidence Synthesis (CHEMRES) at NUI Galway and includes Director Professor Declan Devane, Programme Manager Dr Nikita Burke, Senior Administrator Sheena Connolly, and Training Programme Support Officer Dr Tom Conway. The core team is responsible for establishing, co-ordinating, managing and delivering activities for ESI on a day-to-day basis, as well as developing new strategies for its future operation. The ESI team also includes Postdoctoral Researcher Dr Claire Beecher. The lead for Northern Ireland is Prof. Bronagh Blackwood.

Executive Management Committee
The ESI Executive Management Committee is the decision-making body and will provide oversight of key strategic activities. This committee comprises of the core team and members from across the evidence synthesis community with each member bringing a wealth of relevant experience to the group.
International Advisory Board
The International Advisory Board provides ESI with advice and guidance on key strategic activities and initiatives. The members are internationally renowned experts in commissioning, designing, conducting, disseminating and the knowledge translation of evidence syntheses and in clinical practice guideline methodology.
Research Associates
Our Research Associates fall under two strands: 1) ESI registered Teaching Faculty who are responsible primarily for providing training and delivering on capacity building activities of ESI and Cochrane Ireland, and collectively have decades of evidence synthesis expertise across diverse topics and methods. 2) Researchers who support ESI activities substantially outside of training, such as in consistent and substantial contribution to the design, conduct analysis and reporting of evidence synthesis, history of consistent supervision of summer students, and primary evidence synthesis methodology research
